Nanomater provides starch nanocrystals (50-80 nm of diameter) of different plant origin that can added to polymeric nanocomposites to improve physical and mechanical properties, giving a high light transmittance, greater tensile strength, increased resistance to breakage, less water uptake, increased biodegradability of plastics for food packaging.
